A lot of robots have been produced and all of them are successful in impressing us. The sophistications of the robots as well as the complex system that works inside the robot are the things that make us become astonished. We have ever seen or at least know the news about some robots that have the ability to grab, crash, draw, and the other kinds of ability.

However, do you ever hear about a robot that can actually type with keyboard? Yep, such robot has been successfully made and it is called Dexterous Anthropomorphic Robotic Typing or DART in short. This kind of robot is designed in high precision to be able to do the typing by mimicking the structure of the human's hand. If we open the robot, we will find that there are 19 servo motors. The motors are supported by some wires which function as the tendons of the motors.

This kind of mechanical complexity will be able to type with the speed of 20 words per minute. Well, that's not really fast yet it is one huge leap in the field of technology development. The developer of the DART is planning to put some silicon to cover the robot to make it look similar to human's arm. Once again, the technology development has made us astonished.

BrainDriver – Control the Steering Wheel with the Mind

A new gadget named BrainDriver. It is developed by professor Raul Rojas from Freie Universität Berlin. It is a kind of head cap that consists of 16 sensors. If you wear this, you can control the wheel with your mind. It means that you do not need to place your hands on it. The technology used in this gadget is called as electroencephalography in action which is developed each day. This tool has the system to guide the steering wheel. The current tests do not done at the real road yet. The driver does not use the hands to control the steering wheel. He just wears the head cap and his mind takes control.

It seems rather difficult to understand this thought driving. Even the driver at the demo video seems so young. To make sure the real feeling to drive the vehicle with the mind controlling, it is better to ask the question to the driver on the video. If he can really do it, so everyone will also have the same ideas for this BrainDriver.
